Based off of a traditional Egg Nog, mixologists Ronaldo Pettigrew and Ryan Hill of Dram and Draught present this festive cocktail to enjoy while watching their favorite holiday movies (Die Hard being their #1).
- 1 oz of Cheerwine Holiday Punch
- 1 oz of bourbon
- .75 oz of Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum
- .5 oz chai tea infused Amaro Montenegro
- .75 oz whipping cream
- .5 oz cinnamon demerara syrup
- 1 egg
Add the Cheerwine Holiday Punch to a shaker tin, and swirl to decarbonate. Add the rest of the ingredients, and dry shake for 20 seconds. Add ice to the tins and shake until chilled. Strain the drink into a coupe and garnish with grated nutmeg.
Chai tea infused Amaro Montenegro
Take one 750ml bottle of Amaro Montenegro, and add eight-ten bags of chai tea in a container. Let it steep for 45 minutes to an hour, and then remove the tea bags.
Cinnamon demerara syrup
Bring one cup of water to a simmer, and add one cup of demerara sugar. Whisk to combine, break two sticks of cinnamon and add. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, or to the desired taste.
