Holiday spices such as star anise and black peppercorn mixed with a Cheerwine Punch reduction taste like winter in a cup — and perfect for a night by the fire or any holiday gathering. Presented by mixologist Rolando Pettigrew of Dram and Draught.
- 1 1/4 oz. bourbon
- 1/2 oz. coladka
- 1/2 oz. star anise Cheerwine Punch syrup***
- 3/4 oz. lime juice
- 3 blackberries
- 1 dash of cherry bitters
- 1 coladka cherry
- 1 blackberry
- 1 cocktail skewer
- 1 dehydrated lime
- 1 sprig of fresh mint
Star anise Cheerwine Punch syrup***
On a stove top, add 1/2 cup Cheerwine reduction, 1/4 cup dem syrup, 2 water anise pods, 5 peppercorns, one small cinnamon stick until reduced into syrup.
Once you’ve made your syrup, shake all ingredients together and strain into glass. Top with soda. Garnish with one dehydrated lime, one coladka cherry, one blackberry on a skewer and add few mint leaves.
