Delicious recipes made with Cheerwine don’t have to be full of sugar. Introducing our keto-friendly low carb and sugar-free Cheerwine donuts with Cheerwine glaze. These easy donuts are made with Cheerwine Zero Sugar and almond flour. Baked, not fried!

Ingredients

Donut Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups almond flour
  • ½ cup granulated sweetener of choice (monk fruit or erythritol)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup Cheerwine Zero Sugar

Glaze Ingredients

  • 1 cup confectioners style sweetener (Swerve or erythritol)
  • ¼ cup Cheerwine Zero Sugar (more as needed)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease 12-count donut pan generously and set aside.

In large mixing bowl, add almond flour, granulated sweetener, and baking soda then mix well. In separate medium bowl, add eggs, vinegar, heavy cream, and Cheerwine Zero Sugar. Mix together until blended smoothly. Combine wet ingredients into dry ingredients, mixing well until just combined.

Spoon batter into donut wells careful not to overfill (¾ full will yield perfect round donuts).

Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack to cool completely.

While donuts cool, prepare glaze:

In small bowl, whisk together confectioners sweetener and Cheerwine Zero Sugar to a pourable glaze consistency. The glaze can be thickened by adding a teaspoon of sweetener or thinned with a splash at a time of Cheerwine Zero Sugar. Finish cooled donuts by spooning glaze mixture over the top or by “dunking” the donut in the glaze on each side, then placing on wire rack to set glaze.
