Homemade ice cream doesn’t have to be plain vanilla – use Cheerwine in this simple ingredient recipe to get the best cherry ice cream you’ve ever had! It’s the perfect sweet treat for the summertime. 


  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 ounces)
  • 1 can evaporated milk (13 ounces)
  • 2 ½ cups Cheerwine
  • Milk (as needed)


Place eggs and milk in double boiler and heat until steaming hot throughout. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat; add sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk. Chill; add Cheerwine. Put mixture into 4-quart ice cream freezer container and add enough milk to bring mixture to fill line.
