We’re taking the frozen margarita to a new level with this collaboration with Texas Pete’s Seasoning Dust!
Ingredients
- 1 12-ounce can or bottle of Cheerwine
- 1 bottle refrigerated limeade
- 4 ounces tequila
- Texas Pete® Dust Dry Seasoning (for rimmer)
- Lime wedge or lime juice (for rimmer)
- 2 ice cube trays
- Texas Pete® Hot Sauce, optional
Instructions
Pour Cheerwine into one of the ice cube trays and limeade into the other. Freeze overnight.
Prepare glasses by adding 2-3 tablespoons seasoning to shallow dish or plate for glass rimmer. Using lime wedge or juice in another shallow dish, wet the rim of glass then dip into seasoning to coat rim. Set aside.
Pop 8 cubes each of the Cheerwine and limeade ice cubes into blender. Add tequila and blend until smooth. Pour into prepared glasses and serve.
For an additional spicy kick, add a few drops of Texas Pete Hot Sauce and stir into margarita. Sweet and spicy for the win!
Alternatives: Traditional margarita mix can be used in place of limeade. Want a lower-calorie cocktail option? Just substitute Cheerwine for Cheerwine Zero Sugar!
