Mills Higgins from the Anchorage in Greenville, S.C., shakes up a heartwarming companion to your holiday’s favorite dishes. The cocktail evokes wonderfully rich notes of dry spice, subtle dark chocolate, banana, and candied cherries with a creamy nutmeg-driven finish.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Planteray 3 Star Rum
  • .5 oz Planteray OFTD Rum
  • .25 oz Amaretto
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • .75 oz Cinnamon Syrup
  • 34 dashes Abbott’s Bitters
  • 1 Egg (yolk and white)
  • Cheerwine Holiday Punch to taste
  • Grated Nutmeg

Instructions

  • Shake all ingredients together without ice (reserving Cheerwine Holiday Punch for last).
  • Then shake with ice till frothy.
  • Pour contents into a tall glass.
  • Finish by slowly topping the cocktail with Cheerwine Holiday Punch
  • Add fresh grated nutmeg to taste.
