Calling all meatball lovers! Try out this new addition, Cheerwine Chipotle BBQ meatballs from our friends at NC Eat & Play.

Ingredients

Cheerwine BBQ Sauce

  • 12 ounces Cheerwine
  • 5 ounces molasses
  • 6 ounces brown sugar
  • 10 ounces tomato-based bbq sauce
  • 2 ounces distilled white vinegar

Cheerwine Chipotle BBQ Meatballs

  • 12 ounces Cheerwine
  • 5 ounces molasses
  • 6 ounces brown sugar
  • 10 ounces tomato-based bbq sauce
  • 2 ounces distilled white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Add all sauce ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring often. Let cook for a few minutes more and then remove from heat.
  2. Add the meatballs, Cheerwine BBQ sauce, cherry jelly, and chipotle sauce to a 4-5 quart slow-cooker.
  3. Stir to cover the meatballs with the sauce.
  4. Cook on low for 4-6 hours.
