Blended with your favorite BBQ seasoning, it caramelizes into a sticky, slightly crisp glaze that’s perfect for smoked wings, chicken, ribs, or just about anything coming out of the smoker.

Ingredients

12 ounces Cheerwine soda
¼ cup Cheerwine syrup
2 cups ketchup
½ cup your preferred hot sauce
1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon of your favorite BBQ seasoning
1 tablespoon coarse black pepper

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan or pot and stir until well mixed.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze has thickened slightly.
Toss with your favorite smoked meats or brush generously over wings, chicken, ribs, or other barbecue favorites.
For extra caramelization and a slightly crisp finish, return the glazed meat to the smoker or grill briefly, allowing the glaze to set and develop a light char.
