Have you ever tasted a new food or drink you’ve made and said, “it’s missing something”? That something is probably Cheerwine. Here are some unique recipes using your favorite cherry different soft drink.

Cheery Cherry Pie

Just like mom used to make. But cherry different.

You will need:

  • Two (2) 8 oz. pkg. of Cream Cheese
  • 1 Graham Cracker Crust
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • One (1) 15 oz. Can Black Cherries in Syrup, Drained
  • Two (2) 12 oz. Cans Cheerwine
  • 1 Envelope Unflavored Gelatin
  • 2 tbsp. Cornstarch

Pour 1 can of Cheerwine in a small saucepan. Sprinkle in unflavored gelatin over soft drink and stir. Heat and stir until gelatin is completely dissolved. Set-aside until cool. Cream together cream cheese and 1/2 cup of sugar. Stir in cooled Cheerwine-gelatin mixture. Blend thoroughly and place in refrigerator until it begins to thicken. Pour into graham cracker crust. Allow to chill for several hours or overnight. Combine the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan. Add the remaining can of Cheerwine and heat until thickened and translucent. Add drained cherries. Set aside to cool. (Best served at room temperature. It has tendency to lose smooth texture if refrigerated.) Serve cherry mixture over pie slices or along side with a dollop of whipped cream.
